For the energetic there are pleasant signposted local walks, and only a few miles away are Lyme Regis, The Jurassic Coast, Branscombe, Seaton and Sidmouth with their beaches and coastal paths. There is also convenient access to Dartmoor, Exmoor, National Trust properties, Country Houses (Forde Abbey) and Parks.
